Secure, safe, fun, and loving relationships are key for our survival, independently and as a collective. We've gone wrong in many ways as a group. We forget that, to be whole, we need all of us. Racism, sexism, classism, individualism, hate toward gender diversity and sexual orientation all break down relationships, alienate us from each other, and create deep wounds at the heart of humanity.
Part of relationship repair is becoming a more loving human not only in our most important personal relationships but in the world. Many who seek counseling have been hurt, wounded, disrespected, and mistreated by others. This informs our identity and sense of belonging as we move through the world and within relationships important to us. This might be part of what brings you to therapy. Whatever your experiences as a human in this world, I will work hard in therapy to understand you, truly see you, and create space where all of you can arrive. Where I have blind spots, I aim for humility, authentic curiosity and compassion for your experience, and for repair when I mess up.
